yeah, xeno is gr9 for dealing with things that make you uncomfortable or squick or trigger you IRL - an extra layer of detachment sometimes makes it easier to face things.
It does help a lot, yes. A few weeks time and brood pouches, that makes it easier. The fic that really got to me wasn’t a loss of life in a manner that couldn’t have been helped, but rather the eggs were intentionally smashed. Couldn’t deal with that one. But this helped me get my head around the unfortunate things that do happen in life.

thought you flat up hated writing/reading about miscarriage? to the point you refused to read stuff because it upset you too much?
I mentioned it was therapeutic. It actually helped. That’s one of those things that if I work at it, it won’t bother me as much in the long run.

if i was in a fictional universe i wouldn’t be the main character i’d probably be that friend of the main character who lacks supernatural powers or special abilities but makes up for it with sarcasm and really lame one-liners
If I see another stupid fucking text post about how, ‘Daddy abandoned us’ and ‘Yahoo’s gonna ruin everything!’ or god forbid, that disgusting post comparing tumblr to the Twin Towers and Yahoo to the plane, I will personally come to your houses and vomit pure acid and hatred down your throat.
